Open Access Policy

The "Women, Midwives and Midwifery" journal is committed to disseminating high-quality research, case studies, and reviews in the fields of maternity care, obstetrics, gynecology, and public health to a global audience without any barriers. We believe that open access to scholarly work is crucial for the advancement of knowledge, fostering innovation, and promoting equitable healthcare services for women worldwide.

In alignment with this commitment, we adhere to an open-access policy, which ensures that all published articles are freely accessible online, immediately upon publication. Our open-access model follows the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing readers to share, copy, distribute, and transmit the work, as well as adapt and make commercial use of the work, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

We advocate for transparency, inclusivity, and ethical practices in scholarly publishing, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). Our open-access policy not only amplifies the reach and impact of the research published in our journal but also fosters a collaborative academic environment that transcends geographical and disciplinary boundaries.

Furthermore, the "Women, Midwives and Midwifery" journal supports the archiving of manuscripts in reputable and recognized repositories, ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of scholarly work. Authors are encouraged to archive their pre-prints, post-prints, and published versions of the manuscripts in accordance with the Sherpa/Romeo's repository policies, abiding by the terms of the CC BY license and our copyright policy.

Submitting manuscripts to our journal incurs no submission charges. However, upon acceptance for publication, authors are required to transfer an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 50 USD to Asosiasi Institusi Pendidikan Kebidanan Indonesia (AIPKIND) as the publisher of this journal. This fee contributes to costs associated with DOI registration, similarity checking software license, copyediting, and layout. Authors facing difficulties in paying the APC are encouraged to contact the editor for potential waivers.

For Indonesian authors requiring a printed version of the journal, a charge of 100 USD per copy, including shipment, is applicable. For orders outside Indonesia, courier charges will be adjusted accordingly. Please contact us for a detailed quote.
